I'm a Luxury Shopper, Are You?
Are we looking at customers who want luxury and a great experience and are willing to pay for it?
Everyone is not looking for cheap
I saw a recently headline in the WSJ how Delta is seeing it’s first class experience on the rise. So often I hear business owners and consumers talk about “is it free”, “is it cheap”, “why is it so expensive”.
I like a good deal just like the next person.
However, there’s a subset of your customers who are not first triggered by price, they want a great experience. They want to FEEL good, they want luxury.
I’m KIND of like that.
I pay a premium for Bang Cookies. Although United Airlines is not the cheapest flight, I fly it all the time as getting to the seat I want (exit row, aisle) is how I prefer to travel.
So what about you?
Are you so focused on the cheapest and lowest priced customers, that you forget those customers who are willing to pay more for a better experience?
When you find customers who are willing to pay more, to get something “better” guess what? They’re often easier to work with and you can have a much more profitable business.
Why is a profitable business good? Well because then you can pay yourself well, pay a good salary to your team and have more to build up the community around you.
